IND vs ENG 2024: Team India’s predicted XI for second Test against England

All-Rounders: Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Washington Sundar

While Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin are automatic picks, Washington Sundar is likely to walk into the playing XI in the absence of injured Ravindra Jadeja.

Though the quality and the experience can be questioned, Sundar can contribute with both the ball and the bat. He will have large shoes to fill but is well equipped and experienced to do that in the Indian conditions.

The role of Indian spinners will depend upon the nature of the pitch. Despite a defeat in the first match, the Indian compartment will prefer to continue making spin-friendly pitches.
