IND vs ENG 2024: Team India’s predicted XI for second Test against England

Middle-Order: Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz Khan, Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat (wk)

Shubman Gill has been subject to heavy criticism in recent days after his consecutive failures in red-ball cricket. Despite getting his preferred No. 3 position, he has yet to cement his spot and prove his immense talent.

Sarfaraz Khan finally received his maiden national team call-up after KL Rahul got ruled out. He has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket in the past few years. He is expected to bat at no.4 spot and everyone’s eyes will be upon him.

Shreyas Iyer couldn’t contribute much with the bat in the first match. He is likely to be backed by the management. Considered a great batter of the spin pitches, he would be eager to step up in the next chances.

KS Bharat is likely to continue performing the wicketkeeping duties. He did fine with both gloves and the bat in the first match.
