Jos Buttler is an incredible athlete, isn’t he? Despite being a wicketkeeper he is such a great outfielder who can change games with his fielding. His athletism and mind-presence were at their peak in the game between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants. The English wicketkeeper Jos Buttler pulled off an outrageous tag team catch with Riyan Parag on the boundary to dismiss Krunal Pandya.
Lucknow Super Giants locked horns with Rajasthan Royals in a battle for a playoffs spot at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The Royals from Rajasthan batted first in the crucial game after their skipper Sanju Samson won the toss.
The Men in Pink came out with attacking intent and kept playing their shots despite losing their top-scorer Jos Buttler early. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Devdutt Padikkal played important hands to take the team’s total to 178/6 in 20 overs.
Defending the total, the bowlers also came out with the same approach as the pacers, Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna, didn’t allow Lucknow Super Giants to get off the blocks. It was a fiery spell from the new ball bowlers as they reduced the oppostion to 34/3 inside the powerplay.
Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag pull off an incredible tag team catch on the ropes
After losing the three wickets quickly, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya stabilized the LSG’s innings with a 65 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. The duo was slowly getting closer to the target and with power-hitters sitting in the dugout, the partnership was getting dangerous for Rajasthan Royals.
However, in the 14th over, Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag produced a moment of brilliance to get the breakthrough. On the very first delivery of the 14th over, Krunal Pandya launched Ravi Ashwin straight down the ground.
The ball was heading for a maximum but a running Jos Buttler came in between. The momentum was taking the Englishman beyond the boundary so he lobbed the ball towards Riyan Paragm who stretched himself to complete a wonderful catch.

Jos Buttler, a specialist wicketkeeper roaming the outfield, has the highest Total CricViz Fielding Impact in IPL 2022 – a pretty incredible skillset when you think about it.
