Mohit Sharma was considered one of the smartest bowlers in the game. His ability to read the game and outsmart the batsmen in crucial junctures was one of his biggest strengths. He has played 86 games in the Indian Premier League wherein he has taken 92 wickets to his name.

He won the Purple Cap award for finishing the IPL 2014 season as the leading wicket-taker. Mohit Sharma won the award when he played for Chennai Super Kings where he took 23 wickets in 16 games. The right-arm fast bowler registered at the IPL 2022 mega auction for a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Surprisingly, no franchise showed any interest to sign the experienced pacer. In the end, he went unsold at the auction. The seamer who had a dream run during the heydays of his IPL career has now been roped in by Gujarat Titans as a net bowler.
