The new franchise is based in Ahemdabad, hence, they rightly named it Gujarat Titans. They signed the charismatic Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the draft ahead of the mega auctions for the 15th edition of the IPL. The team management also announced Pandya as the skipper of the franchise. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans also picked the Afghan leggie, Rashid Khan, alongside the Indian youngster Shubman Gill in the draft.
Gujarat Titans created history in the Indian Premier League 2022 by winning the championship in their debut season. They finished at the top of the points table and then went on to win the Qualifier and the Final to become the IPL champions in their first-ever season.
