Mohsin Khan’s coach Badruddin Siddiqui has revealed that the ace India pacer Mohammad Shami told him that he would make the left-arm pacer India’s best all-rounder in four months. Mohsin represented Lucknow Super Giants in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League 2022 and impressed everyone with his accurate bowling.

The Lucknow-based franchise signed the young pacer for the base price of INR 20 lakh in the mega auctions ahead of the IPL 2022. Mohsin Khan played 9 matches for the debutants and managed to pick 14 wickets at a mighty impressive economy rate of 5.97 and an average of 14.07. He emerged as the 2nd most economical bowler in the IPL 2022 behind Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine.

Mohsin Khan was also one of the candidates for the Emerging Player of the Season award, including Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Tilak Verma, Kuldeep Sen, and Yash Dayal.

Meanwhile, the left-arm pacer showed glimpses of his talent with the bat in one of the innings but he didn’t get much chance to show it courtesy of a long batting line-up of the franchise.

Now, Mohsin Khan’s coach Siddiqui, who has also worked with Mohammad Shami in the past, has revealed that the youngster is a good batter and even KL Rahul shares the same views on his batting.

“Give me four months, I’ll make him India’s best all-rounder” – Mohammed Shami to Mohsin Khan’s coach

“When the auction was going on, I was sitting with Shami in his farmhouse. He was picked, and so was Mohsin. Shami told me, ‘If you just give me four months with him (Mohsin), I’ll make him India’s best all-rounder’. He is a very good batsman. And even KL Rahul said earlier that he has a good understanding of the game,” said Badruddin Siddiqui on Sports Yaari.

There can be many bowlers but you need to have a good understanding. You need to know what ball to use against which batsman. Today, Shami is a big bowler. But he is always ready to help the up-and-coming youngsters,” further added Mohsin Khan’s coach Badruddin Siddiqui.
