As per the latest reports, the top performers in the ongoing edition of the IPL, including Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Umran Malik, and Mohsin Khan are likely to be selected for the Indian team for the T20I series against South Africa.

The reports further suggested that Hardik Pandya and the veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan are in the contention to lead the side against the Proteas.

India are all set to host South Africa for a five-match T20I series after the conclusion of the IPL 2022. The matches will be played across five different venues, including New Delhi, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Bengaluru. Meanwhile, the BCCI has also allowed a 100% capacity crowd in all the games.

With the BCCI mulling to provide the senior players with some rest ahead of the England tour, it has been speculated that the top performers in the IPL 2022 will be rewarded by getting a chance in the South Africa series. Also, a similar-looking squad is likely to be selected for the two-game T20I series against Ireland ahead of the England tour.

Dinesh Karthik has looked like a player reborn with his super finishing skills for RCB in the current edition of the IPL. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya hasn’t played a single game in the Indian colours since the T20 World Cup courtesy of the fitness issues.
