Dhawal Kulkarni is one of the underrated medium-fast bowlers of this era. The 33-year-old has featured in 92 games in the lucrative Indian Premier League. He has taken 86 wickets in the tournament. The pacer was last seen donning the Mumbai Indians’ outfit back in IPL 2020 season.
Since then, he didn’t play the IPL. In fact, he enrolled himself at the mega auction for a base price of Rs 75 lakhs. Nonetheless, he failed to attract the bidders in the mega auction in Bengaluru. In the end, he went unsold at the auction.
The Mumbai-born pacer has decided to sign up as a commentator for the ongoing season of the IPL. He was also seen plying his trade a commentator for Mumbai Indians’ matches.

The pacer once had a goal in mind and which is to become the highest wicket-taker for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2021 season. Sadly, he went unsold at the auction of the last season. When he signed up at the auction for the 15th edition, he was once again turned down by the bidders.
Kulkarni wouldn’t have even anticipated that he would be in an entirely different avatar in this season. He was recently seen giving his thoughts for the Mumbai Indians games. Earlier, Star Sports released a long list of commentators for the ongoing season. As many as 85 commentators are part of the panel this time around.
The official broadcaster of the IPL, Star Sports is going through a final year of IPL Broadcast deal. They want to make the coverage really special this time around. Moreover, the cash-rich IPL is being broadcasted in as many as nine languages.
