Delhi Capitals players reveals secrets of birthday boy Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant celebrated his birthday with a win over CSK to top the table.

Delhi Capitals’ captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is celebrating his birthday today as he turned 24 on Monday. Rishabh Pant was named DC captain for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season after Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the first half of the season due to injury.

Pant has led the team ever so well so far this season. Delhi Capitals became the second team to qualify for the IPL 2021 playoffs after CSK. Delhi Capitals are currently placed second in the standings. They secured 9 wins and suffered three defeats so far this season.

DC maintained a pretty good net run rate of +0.551 and gained 18 points so far. Now, they are taking on CSK in the 50th game. The game is taking place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Ahead of the match, Delhi Capitals players spilt secrets of their captain Rishabh Pant.

DC players disclose secrets of Rishabh Pant

On Monday, JSW Group, the owners of the Delhi Capitals franchise, uploaded a video of players wishing the birthday boy Rishabh Pant on his birthday. Apart from that, they went on to reveal some interesting facts about the captain’s personality.

At first, left-arm spinner Axar Patel said: “If there are three people in the room, he orders food for four people. Then I fight with him, saying who will eat so much. But they eat and then I am scolded (jokingly). So such things keep happening between us.”

Heaping praise on his captain, Patel further added: “He doesn’t do the same thing again and again, which is a very good thing. He is not addicted to anything.”

Ishant Sharma, who is one of the most veteran players in the modern era admitted that he is often caught off-guard by Pant’s unforeseeable methods. “He says one thing and does something else. No one understands his trump card. I cannot recall a clear incident about him (revealing a secret). But if I think about it seriously, an entire book can be written on it.”
