Delhi Capitals player tests positive, entire team under quarantine: Reports

Delhi Capitals find themselves in a troublesome situation after one of their players tested positive for coronavirus pandemic. As things stand, the DC franchise have been put under isolation in order to curb the spread of the virus.

The development comes days after the DC physio Patrick Farhart tested positive. Delhi Capitals franchise have called off the scheduled travel to Pune on Monday (April 18) ahead of their upcoming fixture on April 20.

As per multiple reports, a Delhi Capitals player tested positive for coronavirus epidemic recently. Earlier, physio Patrick Farhart was isolated after getting infected by the virus.

Taking the current situation into account, DC had no other option but to cancel its scheduled travel to Pune ahead of its game against Punjab Kings on April 20. Meanwhile, the report also added that players will be isolated in their rooms with door-to-door Covid-19 tests scheduled for two days.

The first test will take place today whereas the second test is scheduled on Tuesday (April 19). Meanwhile, the richest cricket body, BCCI is yet to take any action on this happening. The upcoming test results will determine whether the fixture between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings will go on at the scheduled time or not.

Rishabh Pant and Co have had inconsistent run in the ongoing edition. They played five games so far where they managed to win two games but lost three games. DC managed to beat Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. However, they lost to Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Delhi Capitals have a match against Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals on April 22, Thursday. After that, they will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the reverse fixture on April 28, Thursday.
