Deepak Chahar ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka

Deepak Chahar became the most expensive bowler at the mega auction that concluded in Bangalore recently. Chennai Super Kings released the fast bowler ahead of the auction. However, they went all out to recruit the seamer’s services for the next season.

The four-time IPL champions purchased his services for a record Rs 14 crore at the auction. Chahar who was part of the T20I series against West Indies sustained a right hamstring injury during the third and final T20I at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

He picked up two early wickets, dismissing Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope for cheap scores. However, things turned worse for the pacer when he picked up an untimely injury during the game. As a result, he walked off the turf to get himself treated quickly.
