Chennai Super Kings are the most consistent team in the history of India’s premier T20 competition. They are the second-most successful team with four IPL titles. They are the only team in the history of the IPL who made it to the playoffs a record eleven times out of their 13 participating seasons, which is indeed worth applauding.

Apart from that, they are also the only team to qualify for the final nine times in their history. MS Dhoni and Co are the second-most successful team with four IPL titles. Interestingly, CSK are the only team to have beaten four different oppositions to win four titles. CSK defeated Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2010 final to win their maiden IPL title.

They went on to defend the title in the subsequent season by getting the better of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2011 final. They won their third title by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018 final. MS Dhoni and Co won their fourth title by beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021 final. Overall, CSK are the best team in the given their track record in terms of most wins in the history of the IPL.

On the other side of the coin, Lucknow Super Giants are newly-inducted in the competition in the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. They made it to the playoffs in their debut season under the captaincy of KL Rahul. Lucknow Super Giants won nine games in the league stage and lost the rest of the five games. They collected 18 points and ended up finishing third on the points table. Needless to say, they surrendered at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator.

Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants have locked horns with each other on two occasions in the history of the IPL. Lucknow Super Giants won the first meeting against CSK by six wickets at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings won the second meeting against Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Lucknow Super Giants have all their bases covered in the squad and have all the tools and ingredients to gun for the title in the times to come.
