Commentators make hilarious prediction about Joe Burns that was dead wrong

The ODI and T20I series are done and dusted. Australia and India proved that they have all the tools and ingredients to outsmart each other. While the hosts defeated the visitors in the ODI series by 2-1, India applied proper strategy in the shortest format of the game and won the T20I series by 2-1.

Both the teams are seriously preparing for the upcoming four-match Test series. The first pink ball day-night match is scheduled to be held at The Adelaide Oval from December 17 onwards. Ahead of the assignment, the first practice match between Australia A and India A took place at Sydney, Drummoyne Oval.

Though the three-day match ended in a draw, it had its ups and downs in the game. Will Pucovski suffered a concussion after being hit on the helmet by Kartik Tyagi’s deadly bouncer. Instead of ducking the ball, Will tried to play the pull short but ended up receiving a big blow. He then walked off the pitch as he got retired hurt.

The 22-year-old youngster is a doubtful starter for the first match. David Warner who picked up a groin injury in the ODI series against India didn’t play T20I series. He himself admitted that he wouldn’t recover in time and hence he will not play the first Test at the Adelaide Oval. However, Warner is looking forward to making a comeback for Melbourne Test.

When commentators made a false prediction

There was one incident that gave the fans a dosage of entertainment during the practice game. But this time, it was from the commentary panel. The commentators had predicted the shot of Joe Bunrs during Australia A’s second innings. The commentator identified as Kerry O’Keefee stressed on the fact that Joe Burns will definitely not leave the ball if it goes outside the off-stump.

Surprisingly, Joe Burns did leave the ball and thus the commentator’s prediction was exactly the opposite. After the prediction went wrong, the fellow commentators couldn’t control their laughter. The video was posted by Cricket Australia Twitter handle. “That’s why they pay me the big bucks.’Poor @kokeeffe49didn’t quite nail this prediction????#AUSAvIND,” CA wrote.
