“Bhuvi, the magician” – Twitter applauds Bhuvneshwar Kumar as India seal series after thumping England in 2nd T20I

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was at his absolute best in the 2nd T20 game against England as once again he set the tone for India with the new ball while defending the total. The swing maestro made the English openers and the top order dance to his tunes with another swing masterclass.

England and India were up against in the 2nd T20I of the three-match series at Edgbaston on Saturday. The English skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and asked the Men in Blue to bat first. For India, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant came out with all guns blazing and provided the team with an explosive start.

However, the Indian team lost their way soon after losing three quick wickets, including the skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant. The all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav tried to put up a partnership in the middle but they also got dismissed soon. In the end, it was Ravindra Jadeja who played a vital knock of unbeaten 46 runs to give India a par total of 170/8 in 20 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattles the English top-order once again

Defending the par total, India needed some wickets early in the powerplay and Bhuvi did the job for his skipper. He sent Jason Roy back for a golden duck in the very first over followed by a prized wicket of Jos Buttler.

After the swing bowler provided India with a solid start, India’s bowlers capitalized with wickets at regular intervals. None of the English batters could get going as they were dismissed for a total of 121/10.

In the end, India registered a thumping 49-run victory to seal the series 2-0 with a game to go. Bhuvneshwar Kumar deservingly was rewarded the player of the match for his match-winning figures of 3/15.

The fans could not keep themselves from praising the swing master and took Twitter to praise the superstar bowler.
