IND vs AUS 2023: Twitter explodes as India decimates Australia to win first Test by innings and 132 runs
Ravi Ashwin became the destructor-in-chief as the offie bagged another five-for.
There was a ton of noise before the first Twt began. A lot was said about the Nagpur pitch and how India doctored the home advantage in their favour by preparing an unusual spin-friendly wicket to tackle left-handed batters in the Australian line-up. However, everything has been put on the rest as India dominated Australia to win the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by an innings and 132 runs on the only 3rd day of the Test to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.
Australia had no answer to India’s spin bowling attack as they failed to score even a hundred runs in the second innings. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first but none of their batters could score a fifty as they were dismissed for only 177 runs in the first innings. The comeback man Ravindra Jadeja was the star with the ball for India as he registered a five-for.
In reply, India proved that the wicket had no demons in it as the home side scored 400 runs in the first innings to take a massive 223 runs lead. The skipper Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century, while Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel smashed respective half-centuries and helped India to post a big total in the first innings.

Came out to bat in the second innings, the Australian side had the daunting task to cross the 223-run lead in the second innings. However, unlike their character, the Kangaroos even failed to put up a fight as they surrendered meekly and their whole team was dismissed for just 91 runs in just 32.3 overs.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the main destructor in the second innings as he bagged another five-for to take India to another Test victory.
The fans could not stop themselves from praising Rohit Sharma & co. for the dominant victory and giving the Aussie media a shut-up call.
