4. Abdul Samad
Sunrisers Hyderabad surprised everyone by retaining the young batter from Jammu Kashmir ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022. Abdul Samad grabbed the limelight after playing small impactful knocks lower down the order for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020 and 2021.
However, the youngster failed to impress in the two games he got at the beginning of the season. Abdul Samad could only manage four runs in the two matches he played and subsequently, he was dropped from the playing XI.
The franchise retained the Jammu & Kashmir batter for a whopping INR 4 crore and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they decide to release him ahead of the IPL 2023 to invest that amount in a proven finisher.
