1. Sherfane Rutherford
In search of an explosive finisher lower down the order, Royal Challengers Bangalore signed West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford for INR 1 crore in the Indian Premier League 2022.
The all-rounder played three matches for the franchise and proved to be a massive disappointment. Rutherford scored only 33 runs in 3 matches at an average of 16.50. The most disappointing aspect of his batting was his strike rate, which stood at 66.
The Bangalore-based franchise in all probability will release Sherfane Rutherford ahead of IPL 2023. It will add INR 1 crore to their purse and the team management will look to invest the amount wisely to fill the holes in the squad.
