KC Cariappa is one of the most sought-after leg-spinners in Indian cricket. He has several variations in his bowling that make him a good T20 prospect. Following a solid display in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Rajasthan Royals signed KC Cariappa as a backup spinner for INR 30 lakh.

However, in the presence of senior spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Ashwin, KC Cariappa failed to feature in the playing XI throughout the whole last season.

Yuzi Chahal and Ash Anna are likely to lead Rajasthan’s spin attack once again in IPL 2023, hence, the franchise could release KC Cariappa ahead of the auction for IPL 2023.
