Riyan Parag surprised the cricket fraternity with a highly-improved performance throughout the IPL 2024 season. The 22-year-old youngster proved the doubters wrong by going for an approach combined with caution and aggression. He assessed the conditions and went about his business, unlike when he threw away his wicket easily in the previous seasons.

His improvement was clearly seen when he recorded 573 runs, his best-ever run-scoring tally in a single season. He ended the season as the leading run-scorer for RR and the third-leading run-getter in the IPL 2024. Notably, he slammed three fifties and pitched in with vital cameos for the Royals and the team immensely benefitted from his work rate throughout the season.
