IPL 2022: Does Suryakumar Yadav take a dig at Riyan Parag’s attitude with a sarcastic tweet?

Rajasthan Royals’ all-rounder Riyan Parag has been in the headlines throughout the IPL 2022. More so, for his attitude on the field. The Assam-born cricketer has been receiving a lot of flak from fans for his arrogance towards his fellow cricketers and the umpires. Now, Mumbai Indians’ batter Suryakumar has posted a tweet regarding Riyan Parag‘s attitude on the field in the encounter against Gujarat Titans.

On Tuesday night, Gujarat Titans locked horns with Rajasthan Royals in the first Qualifier of the Indian Premier League 2022 on the iconic Eden Gardens. After being invited to bat first, the inaugural season’s champions posted a total of 188/6 in 20 overs.

Defending the total, Rajasthan Royals’ tried their best on the field. There were some serious efforts from their fielders while trying to save every single run to contain the opposition.

In the same quest, Riyan Parag also tried his best on the field to save extra runs for the Royals. In such an effort, the youngster dived onto the field to save a certain boundary. In the process, he passed the ball to Devdutt Padikkal to throw but wasn’t pleased with the latter and shouted at him.

Mumbai Indians’ superstar SKY posted a tweet during the game praising the youngster’s efforts on the field.

“Amazing attitude on the field #riyanparag #RRvGT” wrote Suryakumar Yadav in the tweet. The tweet soon went viral as it was posted after the altercation between Parag and Padikkal.

Many fans believed that Surya has sarcastically taken a dig at Parag’s attitude towards his fellow teammate, while others opined that the right-handed batter has genuinely praised Riyan Parag.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals lost the encounter by 7 wickets and they will now get another chance to qualify for the final. They will now meet the winner of the Eliminator between RCB and LSG in the knockout game.
