1. Shivam Mavi
The young pacer from Uttar Pradesh climbed up the ranks through U-19 cricket. Kolkata Knight Riders banked a lot on the youngster’s talent and signed Shivam Mavi for INR 7.25 crore after winning the bidding war.
However, Mavi failed to deliver on the big stage and could only bag 5 wickets in 6 matches. The concerning aspect of his bowling was the economy rate as the right-handed pacer gave away runs at a rate of 10.38. Meanwhile, there are reports that Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans are entering the trade for Lockie Ferguson and Shivam Mavi.
The move makes a lot of sense for both parties as Lockie Ferguson has played for KKR in the past and the Kiwi pacer will strengthen their pace attack. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans are looking to bolster their Indian pacers’ contingent. They already have Alzarri Joseph as the foreign pacer in their squad.
