Counter-attacking, defensive, hanging around, going for the kill, Virat Kohli has tried every approach to score runs this season and but something or the other thing gets him every time.

It has now become a routine to see the former Indian skipper failing as the struggling patch for the superstar is now extending with each passing game. In the game against Punjab Kings, the RCB superstar came out to bat with attacking intent. The Run Machine looked in great touch before getting out in another unlucky manner.

Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore are up against each other at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The wicket was fantastic to bat on as Punjab Kings posted a massive total of 209/9 in 20 overs. The English duo of Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone scored respective half-centuries to take their side to a formidable total in a do-or-die game.

There couldn’t be a better opportunity for Virat Kohli to get back to his form after getting such a beautiful wicket to bat on. The Run Machine began his innings in fine fashion with two fours in Arshdeep Singh‘s over.

He also smashed a maximum off Harpreet Brar after stepping out of his crease. However, Kagiso Rabada’s introduction to bowling brought his downfall.

Kagiso Rabada consumes Virat Kohli with a short delivery

On the 2nd delivery of the fourth over, Kagiso Rabada delivered a short delivery towards Kohli’s ribs. The batter tried to play a Nataraj Pull after coming inside the line of the delivery. However, the ball kissed Virat Kohli’s gloves and ricocheted to the short-fine leg off his hips.
