Rohit Sharma got off his full-time ODI captaincy career to a sensational start recently. India whitewashed West Indies by 3-0. The Men in Blue gained confidence from the series win and showcased their mettle in the first T20I. Talking about the game, India won the toss and invited West Indies to bat first.
The Caribbeans played a fearless brand of cricket as they went on to post 157/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran took the batting attack to the cleaners as he scored 61 off 43 balls. The southpaw struck a flurry of 4 boundaries and 5 hits over the fence.
During the West Indies’ innings, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal were involved in a funny banter. The three players shared a light moment when they were discussing quickly to go for DRS or not.
Virat Kohli gives a hilarious reply to his teammate Yuzvendra Chahal
The incident happened during the fourth ball of the 9th over bowled by Chahal. Pooran, who came out to bat faced three deliveries and was looking to score runs. Meanwhile, Chahal bowled a loopy, flighted delivery to Roston Chase.
The Caribbean made up his mind to go for the paddle as the ball ended up hitting his pad. Meanwhile, it seemed that the point of impact was just outside the line of off-stump. This is why Chahal convinced Rohit Sharma to go for the review.

It was when the former Indian captain Virat Kohli decided to step into the scene. The 33-year-old was of the opinion that the ball might have hit his buttock. with his observation and suggested that the ball might have perhaps hit his buttock, and left it for Rohit to decide whether to take DRS or not.
However, upon Chahal’s constant request, Rohit went for the DRS only for their team to lose a review. The TV replay showed that the ball had clearly pitched outside the line of off-stump.
