Former India skipper Virat Kohli alongside RCB’s skipper Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and the rest of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad celebrated as Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets on Saturday. With the Mumbai Indians’ victory in their final league game of the season, Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified for the playoffs. Notably, RCB were in a bothering position as they could have only advanced to the playoffs with a win for Mumbai Indians over Delhi Capitals.

Now, the Bangalore-based franchise has reached Kolkata to play the Eliminator against the debutants Lucknow Super Giants and already participating in the training sessions ahead of their encounter on Wednesday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Now, a video has surfaced from RCB’s training session where the former RCB skipper Virat Kohli could be seen asking the cameraman for some privacy.

Ahead of the knockout encounter against LSG, the Run Machine was wearing his abdominal guard while getting ready for the net session. King Kohli returned to the form in the last league game for RCB with a match-winning knock of 73 runs off 54 deliveries against Gujarat Titans. He looked relieved after the knock and spoke in the post-match presentation while collecting his player of the match award.

“I can keep going. It was an important game. I was disappointed that I haven’t done much for my team and that is what bothers me, not the stats. Today was a game where I was able to create an impact for the team. Puts us in a good position. There are expectations because of the performances that you have put in. You need to keep the perspective right,” said Virat Kohli.

He also talked about how he felt good from the very first delivery and felt confident for his game on the day.

“With the very first shot of Shami, I felt I could hit lengths balls over the fielder’s head. I knew that tonight was the night when I could kick on. It has been wonderful that I have got so much support in this edition. I am forever grateful to all the love that I have never seen before,” concluded Virat Kohli.
