The young pacer from Jammu & Kashmir, Umran Malik, is making all sorts of noise in the IPL 2022. The youngster has impressed everyone with his pace and wicket-taking ability in the middle overs.

In the game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans, Umran Malik once again stole the limelight after knocking Shubman Gill with his sheer pace. However, what stood out after the wicket was Malik’s style of celebration. The pacer imitated his mentor and legendary pacer Dale Steyn after bagging the crucial wicket.

Dale Steyn will be glad to watch his protege doing wonders in the mega-event and earning a name for himself.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are up against Gujarat Titans in the top-of-the-table clash on Wednesday evening. Hardik Pandya invited the Orange Army to bat first after winning the toss.

Riding on Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram’s respective fifties, the Sunrisers posted a daunting total of 195/6 in 20 overs. Chasing the total, Gujarat Titans were off to a flyer courtesy of an onslaught from Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill. Understanding the game situation, the skipper Kane Williamson brought Malik searching for a wicket.

Umran Malik broke the opening stand with a pacy delivery

The youngster didn’t disappoint his skipper and picked up a wicket immediately. On the 4th delivery of the 8th over, Umran Malik speared a 144-kph length delivery. Shubman Gill backed away while trying to play a cut shot but he could only hear the death rattle behind.
