KL Rahul goes off without facing a ball; Shreyas Iyer hits the bull’s eye

LSG’s opening duo of Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul came out to bat as the South African wicket-keeper batter took the strike. Meanwhile, the Kiwi pacer Tim Southee kickstarted the proceedings for the two-time champions.

QDK began with three dot balls, followed by a double on the fourth delivery of the first over. Then, he threw his skipper under the bus on the fifth delivery.

Tim Southee bowled a full and swinging delivery, and de Kock nudged it to the covers. The left-handed batter set off for a single and then stopped in between. By the time he said no, KL Rahul was halfway down the pitch.

Shreyas Iyer came and swooped the ball for a direct hit at the bowlers’ end to send his opposite number back for a golden duck. It is a massive wicket for the Kolkata Knight Riders as KL Rahul has been in great form this season.
