Indian captain Rohit Sharma has well and truly set a great example as far as captaincy is concerned. Ever since taking up full-time duties, he served the team to the fullest. Under his commands, India have indeed stuck to the flow of the game, which in turn yielded positive results for the team so far.

The fact that India won 14 games in a row goes to show how India took a big step forward under Rohit’s leadership. It all began with 3-0 series win over New Zealand in the home T20Is. After that, India completed a double clean sweep over West Indies in the ODI and T20I series. They won the ODI and T20I series by the same margin of 3-0.

India hosted Sri Lanka for 3 T20Is and 2 Tests. Notably, the hosts were totally on a different level altogether as they won the T20I series by 3-0 and the Test series by 2-0. India wrapped up the Test series in style with yet another humongous win over the Lankans. Earlier, India won the first Test by a huge margin in Mohali.

India won the first Test by an innings and 222 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. Talking about the pink-ball Test match in Bengaluru, India won the game by 238 runs to inflict yet another clean sweep on the visitors. During the pink-ball Test, Rohit Sharma hogged the limelight after he played a scintillating reverse sweep for a boundary.

During the second ball of the 9th over of the first innings, Rohit Sharma perfectly executed a reverse sweep shot for a boundary off Embuldeniya. The video clip of Rohit playing an exquisite shot has gone viral on the internet.

Shreyas Iyer was named the man of the match for his impressive batting. The right-handed batsman scored 92 in the first innings and then he chipped in with another half-century in the second innings.
