Blood was boiling, tensions were tearing the roof; such was the encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. In the same encounter, Rajasthan Royals’ pacer Prasidh Krishna gave an angry send-off to the Aussie opener David Warner.

Both sides collided in the 34th match of the IPL 2022 on Friday night. Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and invited Sanju Samson & co. to bat first. Rajasthan Royals made the most of the opportunity as the openers Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler added 155 runs in 15 overs.

While Jos Buttler scored a whirlwind century, Padikkal got out after completing his fifty. However, the skipper Sanju Samson smashed brisk 46 runs off 19 deliveries to ensure a massive total of 222/3 after 20 overs.

Chasing such a huge target, Delhi Capitals’ openers, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw, tried to put pressure on the opposition early on. The dynamic duo added 35 runs in the first four overs.

Prasidh Krishna returned to dismiss David Warner

Searching for a wicket, Sanju Samson brought back Krishna to bowl the 5th over. David Warner decided to take on the pacer and thrashed two consecutive four on the first two deliveries of the over. However, Prasidh Krishna came back in style by picking up the opener’s wicket on the third delivery.

Krishna bowled an angled-in good length delivery from the round of wicket. David Warner backed away to play it towards the third man but got cramped for room. In the end, he couldn’t escape and edged it to the keeper.
