Watch: Mohammed Shami cleans bowled Dinesh Karthik in practice session ahead of warm-up game against Australia

India will begin to finalize their preparations for the T20 World Cup 2022 as they take on the hosts Australia in their first warm-up game at the Gabba, Brisbane on Monday. India are without the services of their star bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out of the mega event courtesy of a back injury. The Men in Blue have recalled the veteran pacer Mohammed Shami to replace their ace pacer in Australia.

However, Shami hasn’t played a T20 game for India since the previous T20 World Cup in 2021. He was set to feature in the T20I series against South Africa but Covid-19 ruled him out. While India played a couple of warm-up games against Western Australia, Shami wasn’t a part of those two games as well. Hence, the upcoming practice games are all Mohammed Shami have to find his rhythm.

Meanwhile, it looks like the senior pacer is already finding his groove as he cleaned up India’s wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik in the net session ahead of the warm-up game against Australia.
