Australian speedster Mitchell Starc has been one of the integral parts of the national cricket team for quite a long time. The left-arm paceman has delivered the goods for the team when it mattered the most. He has even prioritized national duty over the cash-rich IPL as he preferred to opt out of the IPL at the last minute.

In fact, he was just a click away from registering himself at the mega auction. However, he decided not to take part in the IPL. Meanwhile, he is currently part of the ongoing tour of Pakistan. Mitchell Starc went wicketless in the first Test against Pakistan. He bowled 24 overs in the first innings and 7 overs in the second innings.

Starc failed to extract positives on the dead wicket and he went wicketless. Apart from him, most of the bowlers failed to bring the best out of themselves on the flat wicket. The first Test ended in a boring draw at Rawalpindi as both sides shared points. The second Test is taking place at National Stadium in Karachi.

During the second Test between both sides, Mitchell Starc turned out to be the pick of the bowlers for the visitors. The left-arm fast bowler accounted for three dismissals in the first innings. Earlier, Australia posted 556/9 (declared). Usman Khawaja scored 160 while Alex Carey and Steve Smith scored 93 and 72.

During Pakistan’s innings, Mitchell Starc bowled an absolute gem of a delivery to get rid of Fawad Alam. Starc bowled a toe-crushing yorker where Fawad Alam tried to defend it. However, he failed to react to the delivery on time and ended up getting beaten all ends up as the ball hit his pads.

It was an easy decision for the umpire to raise his finger as Fawad Alam departed for a golden duck. Pakistan players find themselves in troubled waters after being bowled out for 148 at home. Australia are in a comfortable position now as they scored 84/1 and they are leading by 489 runs.
