WATCH: Lockie Ferguson bags a mesmerizing hat-trick in the T20 Blast match against Lancashire

Bagging a hat-trick of wickets is such an incredible achievement for a bowler because he needs to bowl three wicket-taking deliveries to get the better of three different batsmen. In fact, all three batsmen would have a different mindset and approach to go about their business.

However, there are some really talented bowlers who are good enough to read and understand the batsmen’s minds and hence they are able to weave the magic in the need of the hour. The cricket fraternity has witnessed such a phenomenon in crunch situations of the game.

Recently, New Zealand international Lockie Ferguson brought the best out of himself in the T20 Blast match where he helped his team Yorkshire wrap up a clinical victory in the best way possible. Ferguson bowled one of the top-notch bowling spells of his career and his hard work bore fruit in the final over.

Had it not been for his bowling, Yorkshire could have ended up on the losing side. The fast bowler bagged a sensational hat-trick in the final over to hand his side a 9-run victory over Lancashire in the T20 Blast. The Kiwi pacer finished with superb bowling figures of 4/24.

With only 10 needed off the final three deliveries, it was still a possibility for the batting side to chase down. However, Ferguson brilliantly wrapped up the game with his own style. He took the wicket of Luke Wells as Adam Lyth took a superb running catch in the deep.

After dismissing Like Wells, Ferguson dismissed Luke Wood with a perfect yorker to castle the batsman’s stumps. Ferguson then went on to accomplish a hat-trick by getting rid of Tom Hartley as the latter hit the ball high in the air with fielder Adam Lyth once again taking a good catch in his safe pair of hands. Ferguson drew praises for taking a sensational hat-trick at the right time.
