Ishan Kishan announced his arrival during the IPL 2020 season when he top-scored for Mumbai Indians in the UAE. Mumbai Indians‘ youngster aggregated 516 runs at a staggering average of 57.33. The youngster hit four half-centuries in that season.
Later, he went on to make his International T20 debut against England. He certainly made his presence count on the field by scoring a superb fifty. Impressed by his performance, he has also been selected in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2021.
Everyone expected that it was a perfect time for him to capitalize on his performance and press his case with the bat this season. Needless to say, things turned upside down for him as he hardly created an impression with the bat.
Instead of further amplifying his dominance with the bat in the shorter format, he was dismissed for cheap scores. He has played eight games so far this season where he scored 107 runs at a terrible batting average of 13.37.

The youngster who entered the dressing room was all smiling. Meanwhile, several players in the dressing room were in splits after Kishan said: “Afternoon sir”. Even Sachin Tendulkar too was seen smiling seeing Ishan Kishan.

Meanwhile, Kishan will look to find some form by picking up the lessons on the go. He is getting all the backup from his senior players in the dressing room. When Rohit Sharma was asked if Ishan Kishan would be dropped after poor performances, he said: It’s a tough call and he seems very confident and the reply you get from him was very boosting as well.”
