Hardik Pandya is back and how? The all-rounder is scoring runs, taking wickets, and making acrobatic saves on the field. It is a welcome sight for the Indian fans as the Gujarat Titans’ skipper has been out of the action since the T20 world cup. In the game against Punjab Kings, Hardik Pandya was at his athletic best as the all-rounder almost dismissed Liam Livingstone with a wonderful grab near the ropes.

After winning the toss, Pandya chose to bowl first against Punjab Kings. In the 9th over of the first innings, Rashid Khan was bowling to Liam Livingstone. The Afghan leggie bowled a short-pitched googly to the Englishman, and Livingstone tried to smoke it out of the ground.

However, a running Hardik Pandya came around and caught the ball. However, his momentum was taking him over the boundary, so he lobbed it up in the air and came back to grab it.

Subsequently, the ground umpires asked the third umpire for a fair catch. Unfortunately for Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan, the former’s leg was found in contact with the boundary, with the ball still in hand. Nevertheless, it was a magnificent effort from the kung-fu-Pandya, and the commentators applauded him for the sensational fielding effort.

Gujarat Titans and Hardik Pandya are eyeing the third win in a row

Gujarat Titans have entered the game with two back-to-back wins against Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. Bowling first, they did a decent job of restricting Punjab Kings to 189/9 in 20 overs. Now the onus is upon the batters to complete the chase and extend the unbeaten run of the Ahemdabad-based franchise.

The young Shubman Gill has continued his good form, and he is going all guns blazing and is playing at a score of unbeaten 90 runs off 53 deliveries at the time of writing. He is accompanied by the skipper Hardik Pandya, and the chase is looking in control of the Titans.
