The skipper lost his wicket at a crucial juncture in the game, and he could not hide his emotions after that. Pandya was distraught after getting out, and he didn’t even remove his helmet after reaching the dugout.
On Tuesday evening, Lucknow Super Giants are squaring off against Gujarat Titans in the top-of-the-table clash at the MCA Stadium, Pune. The stakes couldn’t be higher as the winner of this game will qualify for the playoffs. The Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss in the crucial game and decided to bat first.
However, Lucknow Super Giants proved too hot with the new ball as they removed Wriddhiman Saha and Matthew Wade early in the innings. The onus to resurrect the Titans’ challenge fell upon the shoulders of the captain alongside Shubman Gill.
The duo proceeded cautiously, but Lucknow Super Giants broke the back of Titans batting by removing the younger Pandya brother.

The pacer Avesh Khan came to bowl the 10th over of the Titans’ innings. He bowled a back of a length rising delivery outside the off stump on the first delivery. Seeing the width, Hardik Pandya went hard on the cut but nicked the ball behind the stumps to Quinton de Kock.
After playing the false shot, the skipper could not believe himself and looked distraught with himself while walking back.
