In a bizarre incident, after the 4th T20I against South Africa, a fan managed to breach the security to enter the ground and touched Rishabh Pant’s feet. The players of both sides were shaking hands at that time.

The stand-in India skipper, Pant, is garnering praises for his captaincy from all quarters. Especially, the way Men in Blue have bounced back from a 0-2 deficit to level the series 2-2 after four matches. However, at the same time, the wicketkeeper-batter has been receiving a lot of stick for his poor returns with the bat.

The young Indian team began the five-match T20I series terribly after losing the first two matches. However, Rishabh Pant & co. managed to get two games back over the Proteas to enforce the final in the fifth T20I on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

In the 4th game, riding on a whirlwind knock from the veteran finisher Dinesh Karthik, India defeated the visitors by 82 runs. However, when the players from both sides were greeting each other post-match, a fan invaded the pitch.

Rishabh is not having a pleasant time with the bat in the series and he will look to shut his naysayers down with the bat on Sunday. The left-handed southpaw has managed only 57 runs in 4 matches.

More so, there are already numerous questions over his current form and a place in the full-strength Indian T20I playing XI. As things stand, Dinesh Karthik might pip Rishabh Pant over for the wicketkeeper’s role in the full-strength T20I playing XI of the Men in Blue.
