[Watch] Alex Hales and Shadab Khan escape serious injury following unfortunate collision in PSL 2024

The duo escaped a serious injury as they quickly recovered from the collision.

Alex Hales and Shadab Khan escaped a serious injury following a collision during the PSL 2024 game between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings. Had it not been for a miscommunication between the duo, they wouldn’t have fell flat at collision.

The incident happened when both players were desperate to take Kieron Pollard’s catch at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 28 (Wednesday). Since it was a prized wicket, the duo had their eyes on the ball but little did they know that they were close to each other.

During Karachi Kings’ innings, when they were at 161/5, Kieron Pollard was preparing to face the final delivery of the last over. The Caribbean had one intention and which was to swing the bat with brute force. Hunain Shah delivered a low full-toss to Pollard.

The right-hander struck the ball towards straight hit region in the hope of hitting a six. However, his shot lacked enough power and elevation and any fielder stationed at long on or long off would manage to grab it in safe hands.

However, in this scenario, Shadab Khan and Alex Hales came sprinting from opposite sides. As it turned out, the duo ended up colliding with each other before falling on the turf as the ball won the race for four runs. Fortunately, the duo escaped a serious injury as they quickly recovered from the collision and made their way back to the dugout.
