Australian players arrived in Pakistan for the first time in 24 years to play three Tests and as many ODIs followed by one-off T20I. So far, the first Test has been done and dusted with both teams sharing points after a dull draw in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) drew flak for preparing a dead wicket which ruined the game altogether. Batsmen had the edge over the bowlers as they simply toyed them by scoring runs at will. Pakistan scored 476/4 (declared) in the first innings.
Azhar Ali and Imam-ul-Haq were the standout performers for the hosts as they scored 185 and 157 respectively. Australia responded pretty well with 459 in the first innings. The visitors’ comeback was pretty much predictable given the veracity of the wicket that assisted the batsmen to score runs.
Pakistan scored 252/0 in the second innings before the game ended in a draw. Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq scored 135 and 111 runs. Meanwhile, the fans expect PCB to prepare a better wicket in the second Test match which will be held at National Stadium in Karachi.
Alex Carey fell into swimming pool in Pakistan
Usually, players have a great deal of fun and entertainment at a hotel. There will be a few pranksters who initiate this and make it a special one. However, this time around, a funny incident happened which left the Australian cricketers in splits.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey was involved in an amusing incident after the team had arrived at their hotel in Karachi. When he was trying to have a conversation with his teammate Nathan Lyon, an unexpected incident took place.

The wicketkeeper accidentally fell into a swimming pool. Meanwhile, the Australian players over there were taken aback by the incident as they did nothing but laughed at Carey. Interestingly, Carey was also seen having a giggle about it.
The special moment was captured by Australian captain Pat Cummins, who had shared the video on his Instagram handle. Carey quickly threw his mobile phone to one of his teammates after falling into the swimming pool.
