Axar Patel has been in and out of the T20I setup due to stiff competition in the Indian team. Ravindra Jadeja has always been the primary all-rounder option. As a result, Axar has fallen out of the selectors’ radar. Since Jadeja has been rested for the series, Axar might get a chance to feature in the playing XI.

He has already showcased his mettle when he was given an opportunity. He made his T20I debut for India in 2015 where he went on to play 12 games. Axar might have picked up 9 wickets but he maintained an impressive economy rate of 6.88.
