Shivam Dube has been in terrific form with the bat.
Chennai Super Kings’ star cricketer Shivam Dube has been making waves with the bat in the ongoing season of the IPL. The left-handed batter is the second leading run-getter for CSK with 311 runs in 8 games at an average of 51.83 and a strike rate of 169.95.
It is worth noting that he has hit the most sixes (22) as an Indian in this season so far. Meanwhile, CSK legend Suresh Raina has backed Shivam Dube’s inclusion in India’s squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 tournament.
The former CSK cricketer urged the national selector Ajit Agarkar to include him in the squad for the marquee event. Mr IPL is of the notion that a value added asset like Dube can add a great deal of dimension to India’s batting attack in the Caribbean islands and the USA.
Suresh Raina took to his official X handle (previously Twitter) spoke highly of Shivam Dube and then tagged the BCCI chief selector, Ajit Agarkar. “World Cup loading for Shivam Dube! @imAagarkar bhai select karo please “
