PBKS vs LSG Head-to-Head record in the history of IPL
Not many games have been played between the two sides.
Punjab Kings are one of the very few teams that are yet to win the Indian Premier League trophy since the inaugural edition of the IPL. Their best performance in their history came in the IPL 2014 edition when they made it all the way to the finals of the competition. However, they ended up surrendering at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in the epic final showdown.
Punjab Kings qualified for the playoffs only twice in their history (one-time semi-finalist, one-time runners-up). Apart from that, it’s been a series of disappointing results for them. They have finished outside the top four as many as 13 times. The Punjab Kings appeared in the now-defunct Champions League Twenty20 once in their journey where they finished as semi-finalists.
On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants were newly-inducted into the Indian Premier League in the fifteenth edition of the IPL. The Lucknow-based franchise impressed the fans of the cricket fraternity by qualifying for the playoffs in their maiden season. Led by KL Rahul from the front, Lucknow Super Giants have won as many as nine games in the league stage.
On the contrary, they lost five games but collected as many as 18 points and finished third on the IPL 2022 points table. However, they lacked the killer instinct while locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator clash. Royal Challengers Bangalore knocked the Lucknow Super Giants out of the competition with a 14-run win.
