Navdeep Saini’s 7-year-old comment involving Sreesanth and Brett Lee goes viral on social media

India’s fast bowler Navdeep Saini has taken giant strides in terms of the overall performance of his bowling. He earned a great reputation in the last couple of years. He ruffled the batsmen features with sheer pace. He might have represented Team India only in a few games but he brought the best out of himself when it mattered the most.

Having represented the Indian team in 2 Tests, 7 ODIs and 10 T20Is, he went on to bag 4, 6 and 13 wickets respectively. The Karnal-born lad was also part of the historic Test series win against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series. When the team needed him the most, he delivered the goods and justified his selection right.

Nonetheless, his rise to fame wasn’t that easy for him as it took a lot of hard work to break into the playing XI of the Indian cricket team. Earlier, it was expected that he would be back for the third and fourth Test against England in the ongoing series. However, it’s now been confirmed that he is not playing for the team.

Navdeep Saini’s old tweet goes viral on social media

It’s quite funny to see old tweets getting viral on social media platforms these days. We have seen many times that a cricketer’s old tweet getting all the important attention. Meanwhile, the Indian pacer made the headlines for his seven-year-old comment on Kerala fast bowler Sreesanth on Facebook.

Saini posted the comment on June 4 2013 and his comment is still being talked about now. At that time, he posted an image along with the trophy and the fans were delighted to see his growth. The fans appreciated him in the comments section and it was when one of his fans termed him “junior Sreesanth”.

But Saini who came across the comment didn’t like one bit as he decided to reply to the fan’s comment by saying that he doesn’t want to become Sreesanth and instead he aspires to become a player like Brett Lee. “Bhai mujhe nahi banna Sreesanth, mujhe Brett Lee banna hai,” his reply read.
