MI vs SRH Head-to-Head record in the history of IPL
Mumbai Indians (MI) have been one of the strongest teams in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After struggling a bit in the initial stages, the franchise underwent a transition since Rohit Sharma came to the helm of affairs. He embedded a winning mentality into the side and changed their fate.
Under the leadership of Rohit, MI won five titles, which is joined most in the tournament so far. However, the management took the tough call of replacing their skipper with Hardik Pandya ahead of the IPL 2024 season. It remains to be seen how the new chapter unfolds for them in the upcoming years.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are considered one of the quality sides in the cash-rich league. They won their first IPL title by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2016 final. However, they ran through a dip in the past few seasons.
SRH made their debut in the IPL 2013 season and since then, they made it to the playoffs on six occasions, which is indeed quite a record. However, in the last three seasons (IPL 2021, 2022, and 2023), they failed to make it to the playoffs. But the new skipper, Pat Cummins, has been leading the ship well and they are on the verge of securing a qualification for playoffs this season.
