MI vs LSG Head-to-Head record in the history of IPL

Mumbai Indians are yet to open their account against LSG.

Mumbai Indians are the most successful team in the history of the Indian Premier League with five titles. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians have well and truly thrived as a team and ensured to live up to their reputation in the majority of the seasons. It is worth mentioning here that, Mumbai Indians have made it to the playoffs nine times.

On the other hand, they have made it to the finals on six occasions. Their only defeat in the IPL final came in the 2010 edition when they surrendered at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the epic final showdown. Mumbai Indians failed to function as a team in the previous edition of the IPL. They could muster only four wins but lost the rest of the ten games in the league stage.

As a result, they finished at the bottom of the points table. On the contrary, Lucknow Super Giants made their entry into the Indian Premier League in the IPL 2022 edition. Under the captaincy of KL Rahul, the newly-inducted franchise qualified for the playoffs in their debut season, which is quite a good achievement. They finished third on the league stage points table.

Lucknow Super Giants collected 18 points (nine wins and five defeats) and made it to the playoffs. Needless to say, they failed to showcase their dominance in the Eliminator clash when they locked horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Faf du Plessis-led RCB knocked Lucknow Super Giants out of the competition with an epic win in the Eliminator.
