Delhi Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant has been garnering headlines lately. Many former cricketers and cricket pundits are already impressed with the wicketkeeper’s leadership skills. In fact, India’s favourite son Yuvraj Singh recently advised the BCCI to groom Pant as India’s next test skipper.
However, despite all the praises, Delhi Capitals haven’t been dominating in the IPL this season. They currently sit 7th in the points table with three wins and four losses after seven matches. Moreover, Rishabh Pant recently stirred a major controversy in the recent game against Rajasthan Royals. The Delhi skipper tried to call his batters back to the dugout after the umpires didn’t call a no-ball. Delhi Capitals lost the game and Pant was subsequently fined by the BCCI for violating the IPL’s code of conduct.
On Thursday, Delhi Capitals are up against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 41st match of the IPL 2022. Both teams are in a dire need of a win as KKR will slip on a verge of the elimination with a loss, while Delhi Capitals have a chance to climb to the 6th place in the points table with a win.
