Trent Boult is one of the top-quality pacers in the world. The left-arm fast bowler has time and again exposed the frailties of the opposition batters, especially in the powerplay overs as he usually has the upper hand over the openers.

The New Zealand fast bowler is currently plying his trade for Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing season of the IPL. The experienced campaigner has played 70 games in the IPL where he took 84 wickets to his name.

The 32-year-old has represented New Zealand national cricket team in 75 Tests, 93 ODIs and 44 T20Is. He has taken 301, 169 and 62 wickets respectively. Boult has bagged 9 fifers in Tests, 5 fifers in ODIs.

Karun Nair played 6 Tests and 2 ODIs for India, scoring 374 and 46 runs in the respective formats. The 30-year-old scored his triple century against England where he remained unbeaten on 303* and has scored 1 century to his name.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand international has reserved the highest respect for Karun Nair. The right-handed batter was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.40 crore at the mega auction in Bengaluru.

While speaking in an interview with ESPNcricinfo, the fast bowler was asked who is the Indian batsman that has played him the best. Boult named Karun Nair who has been picking his lengths and variations compared to the Indian batters in the RR camp.

“I haven’t bowled Karun Nair in a game. But he has the ability to pick any kind of ball I throw him in the nets. So at the moment I am gonna say Karun Nair,” Boult added.

Karun Nair has played 75 games in the IPL. He has scored 1483 runs and has a strike-rate of 128.1. He has slammed 10 half-centuries to his name in the cash-rich IPL.
