Hailing from Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga is one of the best spinners in T20 cricket across the globe at present. He is a wicket-taker and a pure match-winner for his respective sides.

However, he had a mediocre IPL season last time when he managed to pick up only nine wickets in eight games at an economy of 8.90. Not to forget, he won the Purple Cap in the 2022 season with 26 wickets to his name.

Hasaranga can be bought in by CSK as an upgraded version of Maheesh Theekshana, who could pick only 11 wickets in 13 games last season. Moreover, the Hasaranga can also contribute with the bat and his fielding is far better than Theekshana.
