IPL 2024: 5 Indians who might be playing their last season

MS Dhoni is more likely to call it quits from IPL after the 2024 season.

4. Piyush Chawla

Piyush Chawla is one of the experienced campaigners who has been spicing it up in the IPL since 2008. The 35-year-old has played for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Kolkata Knight Rights, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians (present).

He is one of the players who might be playing his last season in the IPL. Chawla took 22 wickets for Mumbai Indians in the last season, helping the team qualify for the playoffs. The right-arm leg-break bowler took 179 wickets in 181 appearances.

3. Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. While captaincy hasn’t been his strong suit, the 38-year-old has been one of the best batters in the tournament, scoring 6617 runs including 2 centuries and 50 fifties.

While he is the second-leading run-getter in IPL, his form took a hit in IPL 2023 as he mustered 373 runs in 11 games, which is low considering a player of his stature. If he doesn’t live up to his reputation as a captain and batter, PBKS might offload the 38-year-old.
