3) Dinesh Karthik

Probably the most surprising name on the list but Dinesh Karthik has only himself to blame. After a blasting campaign with the bat in IPL 2022, there were high hopes from him last season.

But Karthik merely stood up to the responsibility and had one of his worst seasons ever. In 13 innings, he managed to accumulate only 140 runs at a poor average of 11.67 and a strike rate of 134.62.

RCB needed much more from him considering he is a veteran in the team. The rise of Mahipal Lomror has given the freedom to the franchise to release Karthik and buy any other quality player from that sum of money.
