IPL 2023: Predicting strongest starting XI of Rajasthan Royal (RR) for the season
Rajasthan Royals are looking well balanced.
All-Rounders: Riyan Parag, Jason Holder, Ravi Ashwin
Riyan Parag has been under the scanner for a long time for not performing up to the standards. However, the franchise has always shown faith in him. He has the ability to play big shots and roll hands as and when required. Apart from this, he is also a terrific fielder, which makes him a valuable option. It will be interesting to see how he performs this year.
Jason Holder was unexpectedly released by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the mini-auction. Considering his quality, any team would’ve loved to acquire his services. Luckily, RR got the better of the other franchises and signed him to strengthen their squad. His inclusion will provide more options for the captain in all departments.
Ravi Ashwin managed to pick up only 12 wickets in 17 games but his economical overs were crucial for the side. He created pressure from one end, which benefited his spinning partner Yuzvendra Chahal on the other end. Apart from his bowling duties, Ashwin also did well with the bat as he scored 191 runs at a strike-rate of 141.48.
