IPL 2023: Predicting starting XI of Punjab Kings (PBKS) for the season
PBKS are yet to qualify for playoffs since playing final in 2014.
Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar
Just like last year, Kagiso Rabada will be seen leading the pace attack for PBKS. His fiery pace and bounce are a threat to any batter on any pitch. In IPL 2022, he picked up 23 wickets in just 13 games, keeping an economy of 8.46. The franchise will be hoping for a similar performance from him this season as well.
Arshdeep Singh has been a consistent performer for the Punjab-based franchise. After a couple of wonderful seasons, he received a call from the national team. He is a versatile bowler who can bowl at any stage of the match and is well known for being effective in death overs. If PBKS wants to do well then he has to keep performing well.
Rahul Chahar is the only prime spinner in the side who will be expected to fulfill his quota of spell. Last season, he picked up 14 wickets in 13 games. However, the franchise would want him to take provide more breakthroughs regularly. His performance will be a big factor in PBKS’ success.
